Every valve movement on a pulp or paper production line affects continuity and safety. 1. Abrasion: extend service life through materials
Pulping, chemical recovery and residue handling often involve sand, fibers and hard particles. Conventional valves may require frequent replacement, increasing maintenance costs and downtime risk.
Our severe-service wear-resistant eccentric rotary valves and Venturi angle valves address these duties through:
- Hardening treatments: PTA plasma overlay, HVOF high-velocity oxy-fuel spraying and sintered tungsten-carbide technology strengthen the plug and seat.
- Flow-path optimization: CFD analysis is used to develop a streamlined cavity that reduces direct erosion of the body.
- Application-specific trim: solid WC inserts improve erosion resistance in black water, grey water, coal-water slurry and slag-water service.
2. Corrosion: full lining and combined sealing
Acids, alkalis and chlorine used in paper production can damage equipment and create safety hazards if sealing fails.
We offer plastic-lined and fluoropolymer-lined valves, together with pneumatic diaphragm-actuated, bellows-sealed single-seat control valves.
- Full lining: lined single-seat and butterfly valves use PTFE, PFA or PVDF. Cast anchoring recesses inside the body secure the lining and isolate the medium from metal surfaces.
- Bellows and packing: combined sealing is used for flammable, explosive or toxic media to limit external leakage along the stem and meet the application’s safety requirements.
3. Hygiene: cleaning and sterilization
Tissue and food-packaging paper production require clean internal passages. Dead spaces can support bacterial growth and affect product quality.
Our hygienic range includes linear-motion angle valves, ball valves, butterfly valves and diaphragm valves. Polished internal surfaces and unobstructed passages support cleaning without retained material.
