Dry chlorine compression: pitting-resistant bellows valves for chlorine service
Although dry chlorine contains less than 50 ppm moisture, its strong oxidizing and penetrating properties can cause pitting, stress corrosion and internal leakage in ordinary stainless steel valves, creating significant safety concerns. Maintaining long-term leak-tight performance in high-pressure, high-purity chlorine is a common industry challenge.
